Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
Welcome to a brand new school year! I’m excited to begin this next chapter with you at Trigg County High School. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to the energy, talent, and potential each of you brings to our Wildcat community.
For most of us, this marks our second year together, and I’m proud of the strong foundation we’ve built—grounded in positive relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to student success. To our freshmen and new students, we extend a warm welcome! You’re stepping into a school where people care deeply and work hard to help you succeed.
This year, we will intentionally raise the bar by sharpening our focus on academic growth, excellence, and career readiness. While we will continue to nurture the supportive, inclusive, and spirited culture established last year, we’re placing an even greater emphasis on helping students set and reach meaningful academic and post-secondary goals.
Our staff has been working hard to prepare classrooms, lessons, and experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and equip students with the skills they need for life beyond high school. Every student will be challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow—both inside and outside the classroom.
I also believe that family engagement and communication are essential to student success. I encourage you to stay involved, ask questions, and participate in the many opportunities we offer throughout the year. Together, we can make this a powerful and rewarding year for every Wildcat.
Let’s move forward with purpose, positivity, and pride—ready to learn, ready to lead, and ready to grow.
Here’s to a great year ahead!
Warmly,
Kristee T. Barnes
Principal
